WHO BENEFITS (apart from you?)
Who do we want to help?
We obviously want to help you with information on low cost, but positive, living. And then? Well then we want you to help us by simply spreading the word about this website. And then? Well then we hope, this site can, on your behalf, help others.
The Penny Papers is a very small concern. We want to concentrate on generating an interesting focal point for those with debt, hardship or money management concerns where they can begin to resolve their own problems, find links to sound advice and support, whilst also indirectly helping to generate the funds with which we - and you - can help others. We are not looking for fanfares, huge wage packets or flashy living for ourselves. We want to keep it simple from A to Z !
We want to generate a substantial sum from which we can offer additional funds to Universities to help with cases of proven student hardship. In these days of the 'credit crunch' alongside massive student debt we believe it is a worthwhile exercise to be able to raise additional funds to help alleviate this problem at source.
We have also looked into the other small concerns we might be able to assist; those where the money goes directly to the point of need without large administrative deductions along the way. Or those that fit our aim of helping our country deal with some of the issues directly attirbutable to poverty.
Below are two such organisatations that struck a chord:-
The Kitchen Table Charities Trust
We believe in the low overhead ethos of this organisation, being a 'home computer in the corner' set up ourselves.
To that end we believe that The Kitchen Table Charities Trust is one we would wish to see benefit greatly through the growth of our project. Please click here where you can read the simple explanation as to why the Trust was set up, what it represents and how it works.
We hope to build in a related page and news feed for this Trust where we can bring you the latest news from KTTC.
Another organisation we would like to bring to your attention is:-
Emmaus
Addressing the effects of homelessness and unemployment by offering both home and work within a Community set up, this organisation is another that is directly relevant to our own aims. A visit to the Emmaus website will tell you how they work. We believe it would be highly appropriate and worthwhile for The Penny Papers to be able to contribute to this cause.
We want to hear your suggestions too!
Do you know of an organisation you believe we should consider? If so, please tell us! We welcome your views and suggestions and we know there are many more wonderful small causes out there that may get overlooked.
REMEMBER:- We are NOT asking you to give money to us or to these causes. we are simply asking that you spread the word and that you encourage as many subscribers and users of The Penny Papers website as possible.
We are working from the simple standpoint that Advertisers want as large a ready audience as possible and we want to provide it! That will then generate the money that we will use to create student funds, to support other hardship causes and make charitable contributuons on your behalf ... at no cost to you and at no loss to those causes in these hard times.
